Last month, the Spain DevOps team attended the AWS Summit Madrid.

Last month, the DevOps team based in Madrid from Stack Builders had the opportunity to attend the AWS Summit Madrid, one of the most important cloud events of the year in Spain.

Held at IFEMA, the summit brought together thousands of professionals and industry leaders to explore the latest in cloud innovation, best practices, and services from Amazon Web Services. For us, it was more than just a tech event; it was a chance to connect, reflect, and see where we stand in the fast-moving world of cloud computing.

Talking with the Community

One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to speak with people from all sorts of companies. It was refreshing to hear how others are approaching similar challenges, experimenting with new services, or scaling their solutions on AWS. There was a real sense of community and shared curiosity, something that resonated strongly with us.

We had conversations that sparked ideas, gave us fresh perspectives, and reminded us that, while every company has its own journey, many of us are walking a similar path when it comes to building reliable, scalable, and cloud-native systems.

Confidence in Our Tech Stack

It was encouraging to see that many of the technologies we use at Stack Builders, from serverless to container orchestration, to managed databases like Aurora, are widely adopted across the industry. Knowing that we're building with the same tools and best practices as some of the most forward-thinking teams out there gave us a real boost of confidence.

Final Thoughts

Attending events like the AWS Summit isn't just about learning new tricks or seeing product demos (although there were plenty of those, too). It’s about stepping outside of our daily routine to get a broader view of where the industry is heading, how we fit into that picture, and how we can keep pushing forward to better serve our clients and continue pushing the boundaries of the software industry.

We left the event inspired, energized, and proud of the work we’re doing at Stack Builders. Huge thanks to AWS for organizing such a valuable event. We’ll definitely be back next year!
